The role of School Learning Support Officer Student Health Support is crucial in providing support for students with diverse learning needs, including disability, in classrooms and other learning environments. Working under the direction and supervision of a teacher, the successful applicant will contribute to the achievement of educational outcomes by delivering health support services required for students to participate in and access educational programs.
Essential Requirements">
- Working with Children Check Clearance
- Completion of mandatory training required by the Department of Education to undertake first aid, administration of medications and health care procedures training.
About the Role">
This position focuses on performing health support tasks so that students can engage with and access educational programs. As a key member of the school community, the School Learning Support Officer Student Health Support will work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills and awareness of the needs of students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities">
- Providing support for students with identified diverse learning needs including disability in classrooms and other learning environments
- Delivering health support services required for students to participate in and access educational programs
- Working effectively as part of a team and communicating effectively with colleagues, students and parents
- Being aware of the needs of students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities
