Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical advice and direction on transport infrastructure planning and design activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of planning and design projects and services supporting transport infrastructure functional areas in the Region;
  • Provide high-level advice, support, and consultancy to professionals and technical staff on the planning and design process to ensure fitness for purpose, value for money, and best practice are achieved;
  • Assist in selecting the most suitable design process for project delivery, and manage the project development to ensure compliance and successful delivery;
  • Undertake reviews of both temporary and permanent works designs on design and construct contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project brief, technical standards, and legislation;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in planning and civil design of transport and road infrastructure projects;
  • Extensive experience in interpreting and applying policies, legislation, technical guidelines, practices, and procedures to TMR policies, standards, and specifications;
  • Working knowledge of computer-based CAD systems (particularly 12D and AutoCAD) for transport infrastructure;
  • A Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution, accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust);
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), applicable to Civil Engineering qualified applicants only;
