About this role

We are seeking a Lead Business Analytics Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who can lead analytics efforts and projects with autonomy, from defining scope and approach to delivering actionable insights and business recommendations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading large-scale strategic analytics programs, managing complex data projects, and overseeing key functional spaces of data visualisations.

You will provide leadership and mentorship to the Data team, fostering a collaborative environment and enhancing team capabilities.

This role demands a strategic mindset and hands-on technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry trends and adjacent disciplines, as well as experience in designing and maintaining scalable data architectures and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Data team, fostering a collaborative environment and enhancing team skills.
  • Lead analytics efforts and projects independently, including defining scope and approach.
  • Manage projects to ensure timely delivery within scope and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enforce data quality and governance, assess and implement new technologies, and monitor analytics solution performance for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in data analytics.
  • Strong business facing stakeholder management and project leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale strategic analytics programs.
