About the Role

This role is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability.

As a residential care worker, you will be responsible for providing direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment and promoting positive family relationships.

  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Providing support and guidance to young people with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
    • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
    • Working collaboratively with a high-performing Support Team to deliver a positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent, is required.
  • A valid Australian full driver's license is also required.
  • Other requirements include:
    • Valid Australian working rights.
    • Ability to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check.
    • Hold or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid, and CPR qualifications.
