Electrical Engineering Manager

At Thales, we're driving progress in some of the world's most important industries, and we're looking for a talented Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dynamic team of Electrical Engineers and Technicians/Draftspersons, providing resource and technical leadership for Electrical Engineering projects and programs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Discipline - Electrical Engineering to ensure excellence in engineering activities.
  • Hold Level 2 Engineering Authority in the field of Electrical Engineering, undertaking engineering reviews and approvals.
  • Coordinate the many requirements on time across a number of concurrent ongoing projects and bid work.
  • Engage with various internal and external stakeholders and estimate project costs, schedules, and resources during competitive Tender/Bid.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering &/or Masters qualification. Chartered Professional Engineer (EA) preferred.
  • A wealth of experience in Electrical Engineering with expertise in Naval or Maritime Platforms.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with stakeholder management experience.
  • Demonstrated capacity for continuous improvement and strategic vision.
  • Ability to empower and unite teams around clear objectives, acting as a coach and servant leader.
