Afl Systems Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to occupy the position of Afl Systems Operator in Melbourne.

Occupying this role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology as part of a young, dynamic team.

The primary responsibilities of the job involve setting up Hawk-Eye technology on-site, conducting pre-match checks of the systems according to established procedures, liaising with officials, stadium/club personnel, match officials and host broadcasters on-site, monitoring and operating Hawk-Eye software during an AFLW or AFL match, monitoring hardware and software performances, being able to troubleshoot and report encountered issues, working with our remote team to proactively address technical issues, taking full ownership of our system on-site and acting as an ambassador for the organization, completing post-match reports and reporting issues post-game to improve future operations, assisting with installation and maintenance of on-site equipment where required, and conducting Score Review operations from the ARC.

Key requirements for the role include a strong technical grounding, innovative thinking with excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision, time management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure, procedural, live broadcast environment, ability to interact with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner with attention to good communication, interest in sport and/or sports analysis ideally with a good knowledge of AFL and other codes, proactive motivation and desire to learn new skills while building upon existing abilities, and adaptability to flexible working conditions with irregular working days including weekends and longer days.
