Job Overview

The Automation Test Analyst role entails ensuring software applications meet quality standards by designing and implementing test strategies, plans, and cases.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the quality assurance subject matter expert within a team.
  • Collaborate with platform engineers, data engineers, scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to define and maintain quality standards.
  • Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and cases for new and existing features.
  • Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure delivered features meet user expectations.
  • Drive automation initiatives to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Analyze defects and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Promote a quality-first mindset and lead QA best practices adoption across the team.
  • Monitor, track, and report software quality metrics.
Key Deliverables
  • Comprehensive test plans and case execution.
  • Automated test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Defect reports and quality dashboards with actionable insights.
  • Documented quality standards and testing guidelines.
  • Sign-off reports indicating readiness and QA validation status.
  • Continuous improvements to QA processes and tooling.
  • Risk assessments and mitigation plans related to product quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
Skillset
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex data flows and identify discrepancies.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering defect-free solutions.
  • Ability to write clear, comprehensive, and reproducible test cases and plans.
  • Proficiency in test case management and issue tracking tools.
  • Good understanding of SQL for validating data accuracy and integrity.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman and JMeter.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills for articulating bugs and quality risks.
  • Initiative-driven mindset with the ability to proactively identify quality improvements.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and requirements in an Agile environment.
  • Good understanding of test automation principles.
