Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned environmental advisor to lead our sustainability initiatives in the North region of Sydney. As part of our Confluence Water joint venture, we deliver integrated design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management services under Sydney Water's Partnering for Success program.
Key Responsibilities- Environmental Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive environmental management plans, sub-plans, and other strategic documentation.
- Risk Mitigation: Implement consultative processes in the workplace relating to the environment throughout all stages of project delivery.
- Field Support: Conduct ongoing risk assessments, hazard identification, and perform required environmental inspections.
- Training and Development: Educate delivery teams by delivering toolbox meetings and developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs.
- Education: Relevant tertiary degree (preference for post-graduate qualifications) in environmental engineering, environmental science, statutory or strategic planning, environmental management, or related discipline.
- Experience: At least 5 years of environmental management experience, with extensive experience in the preparation and implementation of environmental management systems and plans.
- Skillset: Strong experience in day-to-day management of all on-site environmental aspects, including field testing, site inspections, and monitoring requirements.
