Facilities Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to oversee all maintenance and facilities management requirements.
The successful candidate will lead the preventative maintenance program, provide hands-on support, supervise key service areas, and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety best practices.
- Develop and execute the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
- Provide hands-on support by performing repairs and maintenance as required across the property.
- Supervise and manage key service areas including electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services, and approved contractor works.
- Oversee stock control and supplier management to maintain efficient operations.
- Prepare quotes, schedule, and manage capital expenditure requests.
- Support the recruitment and development of the Maintenance department team.
- Previous hands-on maintenance/facilities management experience preferably in a hotel environment.
- Proven ability to manage and develop team members.
- Experience implementing a preventative maintenance program.
- Experience organizing, consulting, and negotiating with contractors.
- Sound Microsoft Office skills (including Excel spreadsheets and word documents).
- A passion for delivering exceptional proactive service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with impeccable presentation.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday with some on-call work on weekends.
- Building qualification will be highly regarded.
