About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Tax Advisor to join our Private Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with privately held businesses from various industries and high-net-worth individuals.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial and tax-efficient strategies to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will also research and analyze tax technical issues across a range of tax areas, including Division 7A, tax residency, CGT concessions and rollovers, trust law, withholding tax, tax consolidation, loss testing, and international tax.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to optimize clients' financial performance.
  • Analyze complex tax issues and provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate with directors and managers to deliver exceptional client service and meet business objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Law, or a relevant field.
  • Previous experience in business services or tax advisory services in a chartered accounting or law firm environment.
  • A deep understanding of the Australian tax system, tax legislation, and different business structures.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
