About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Substation Engineer to join our team at Aurecon, a leading engineering and infrastructure consulting company. As a key member of our Energy business, you will play a critical role in supporting the decarbonisation revolution, particularly in the decarbonisation of Western Australia's resource and utility energy systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on substation design, network planning, and connection of renewable power generation projects
  • Lead the deployment of innovative projects in energy storage and inverters-based generation markets
  • Provide planning advice to clients on their power generation assets operation and development
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to bring together diverse perspectives and expertise
Requirements
  • Post-graduation experience in a transmission and distribution role, as a consultant or as a developer/owner/contractor
  • Conversant with primary and/or secondary design of substations assets at 132 kV level and above
  • Experience in NWIS power systems and/or SWIS power systems is a plus
  • Previous consultancy experience, including direct engagement with clients, will be a plus in this role
