Student Support Services RoleThis role is part of a statewide service for consultations and referrals to Social Work Truancy. The successful applicant will work with schools and preschools to support learners and their families.The Student Support Services team aims to unlock every child's potential through a strategy that prioritises learning and wellbeing.
  • Social Worker duties include consultation on student non-attendance and general wellbeing concerns, supporting schools and preschools to engage disengaged students.
  • The position works closely with the Senior Social Worker Duty Line and Statewide Services Operations Manager.
  • Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing and being are valued and prioritised in this culturally responsive journey.
Qualifications

An appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers is required.

A Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check and Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care Facilitator Lead course completion are also necessary.

Benefits

AHP2 $88,255 - $102,240 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) are offered as part of this role.
