Job Overview

Seeking a highly skilled mechanical engineer to spearhead mechanical engineering efforts across teams in support of power station and remote site projects.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating mechanical design, calculations, and documentation in compliance with relevant industry standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality mechanical engineering designs, calculations, and documentation that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, and contractors.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly and provide design input for new power stations and supporting facilities.
  • Provide operational guidance for asset maintenance and support clients with generator installations on remote sites.
  • Identify opportunities for long-term improvements and ensure quality control and compliance with legislation and Australian Standards.
  • Oversee equipment selection, procurement, and site process enhancements.

Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years experience within a commercial environment.
  • Solid understanding of process and instrumentation diagram symbols and flow diagrams.
  • A valid C class manual driver's licence.
  • Ability to work remotely and as part of a team.

Applicants should have proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation drafting packages, and SolidWorks CAD package. Familiarity with the Pronto ERP system is also beneficial.
