Role Overview

The position of Integrated Logistics Manager is a key leadership role within the Defence Logistics environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing materiel logistics activities to support the Royal Australian Navy.

Key Responsibilities

The EL1 ILS Sustainment Manager will have an in-depth knowledge of legislative frameworks and government decision-making. They will exercise sound judgement to provide expert policy advice and have in-depth knowledge of the Materiel Logistics function. They are responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing policies and procedures relevant to the ILS function.

This role involves planning, leading, and managing human and physical resources while exercising associated people and financial responsibilities to align with strategic business objectives.

About the Team

The EWIS-Maritime SPO manages electronic warfare systems fitted to both surface and sub-surface fleet, such as the Nulka Decoy product and various Sensors and Electronic Attack products in both acquisition and sustainment phases. The team delivers capabilities to the Australian Defence Force and United States Navy.

Requirements

The successful applicant will have:

- Extensive experience in ILS Management with a focus on activities supporting sustainment projects;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to negotiate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Experience in leading a team, managing allocated resources, priorities, managing workflows and evaluating business outcomes.
- Highly developed organisation skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.
- Capacity to think strategically and develop plans and processes to enhance the achievement of business outcomes.
- High level of self-drive and initiative with the ability to influence others to achieve business objectives.
