About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Rivers and Water Management team at Royal HaskoningDHV Zwolle. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical direction and advice on civil and environmental engineering matters.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and supervise technical teams on large-scale projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and meeting project deadlines
  • Develop and maintain local technical systems and standards, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, promoting their professional development and growth
  • Conduct investigations, studies, and analyses to inform project decisions and develop recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver commercial, technical, and financial proposals
  • Manage project resources and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Provide expert technical advice to clients and internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and trust

Requirements



  • Proven experience in civil and environmental engineering, with a strong focus on flood and stormwater management
  • Excellent technical and practical skills, with the ability to provide direction and advice on complex engineering matters
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • Civil or environmental engineering degree, with postgraduate qualifications desirable
