About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Licensing and Compliance, this professional leads:

  • Establishing compliance and enforcement teams, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
  • Developing policies, procedures, and operational frameworks for effective service delivery.
  • Implementing risk-based licensing and compliance frameworks to promote compliance with tobacco legislation.
  • Overseeing compliance and enforcement functions, including inspections and compliance actions.
  • Providing strategic direction and expert advice to senior stakeholders on operational and regulatory risks.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage compliance and enforcement teams, developing policies and operational frameworks.

- Oversee operations, resources, and performance to deliver high-quality services and outputs.

- Continually monitor and evaluate risk-based compliance strategies and operational procedures.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary compliance and enforcement operations.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills to liaise and negotiate effectively at senior/executive levels.
  • A strong understanding of tobacco industries and their regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

- A qualification in public administration, regulatory studies, law or other relevant discipline is desirable.
