Job Description

As a dedicated professional, you will be part of a team working with children, young people, and their families to provide meaningful targeted and community-based supports.

The role involves:

  • Providing case coordination, ongoing intensive case management, therapeutic and pro-social activities, and referrals based on the needs of the young person and their family;
  • Participating in an on-call afterhours roster to respond to crisis situations;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to divert children and young people away from the justice system;
  • Developing and supporting relationships with the community service sector to support referrals for children, young people, and their families;

You will have the opportunity to work with diverse clients, engage in early intervention strategies, and promote self-determination. A driver's licence, Working with Vulnerable People card, and willingness to undergo a police check are essential requirements for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in working with children and young people;
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, young people, and their families/kinship/carers in frontline service delivery;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the key issues experienced by children, young people, and their families;
  • Engagement with children, young people, and families through early intervention strategies and self-determination;
