As a Mechanical Operations Director, you will play a crucial role in leading our workshop team and overseeing the efficient operation of our fleet of transport vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and forklifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and motivate the workshop team to foster a culture of excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Workshop Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including people management, work allocation, scheduling, timesheet approval, material tracking, and job tracking.
  • KPIs and Targets: Set key performance indicators and repair targets for the team to ensure efficient project delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Workflow Optimization: Continuously improve processes to optimize efficiency and service delivery, ensuring tasks are assigned to the right people at the right time.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manage workshops in collaboration with other managers to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven Management Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a mechanical or logistics environment, with a proven track record of leadership and management skills.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with the workshop team and other stakeholders.
  • Commercial Acumen: High-level understanding of service/repair department processes, policies, and procedures, with a strong commercial acumen at the departmental level.
  • Mechanical and Auto Electrical Experience: Previous experience in automotive, heavy commercial vehicle, or machinery environments is highly desirable.

Benefits:
