About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team at Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Energy business, you will play a critical role in advising clients on the development and implementation of power generation projects, energy storage projects, and power networks operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on the development and implementation of power generation projects, energy storage projects, and power networks operation.
  • Collaborate with a team of specialists to work on complex power systems analysis and planning projects.
  • Provide high-quality and timely advice to clients on their power systems operation and development.
  • Lead the deployment of innovative projects in the energy storage and inverters-based generation markets.
  • Perform power system studies using commercial software and analyze results to explain system behaviors.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in electrical engineering and at least 5-10 years of post-graduation experience in a power industry role as a consultant or power project developer/owner/operator. A strong understanding of electrical engineering and power systems theory is essential, as well as experience with power system modeling software such as PSSE, PSCAD, and Powerfactory.
