Power Systems Lead Engineer

Hatch Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Lead Engineer to join its team of experts in the power sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing and coordinating power systems analysis and studies, as well as preparing briefing notes, discussion papers, and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and coordinate power systems analysis and studies
  • Prepare briefing notes, discussion papers, and presentations
  • Manage projects, create business relationships, and prepare proposals
  • Innovate and show initiative in learning and sharing knowledge with colleagues
  • Participate in and lead young engineers' forums through engagement in professional activities in the region
Requirements:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (preference will be given to candidates with post-graduate degrees in Power Systems)
  • A good understanding of electrical engineering principles and demonstrated experience in power system analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client engagement skills
  • Ability to work within focused and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with policies, guidelines, rules, and regulations as applicable to the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM) and other jurisdictions
  • Experience in programming and use of commonly used engineering and power system analysis applications/tools
  • Current living and working rights in Australia (i.e. permanent residency or citizenship)
