Food Service Assistant Role Summary:

Allity is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, and working effectively as part of a team to achieve excellent results.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve excellent results
  • Perform other duties as required by management

Requirements:

  • Basic food safety practices certificate
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Sound food preparation experience (preferably in an aged care environment)
  • Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Highly efficient and motivated
  • Team player
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times
  • Knowledge of kitchen, laundry and cleaning processes, standards, systems and equipment
