Overview

Our organization is seeking a skilled Healthcare Professional to work in a Permanent Part-Time capacity, with varied shifts across a rotating roster from Monday to Saturday.

The Role

As a Healthcare Professional, you will bring your excellent customer-facing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service, while working together to ensure Australia's supply of blood products.

Responsibilities
  • Interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate.
  • Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process.
  • Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
  • Set up machines and collections equipment.
  • Collect whole blood and plasma safely.
  • Manage any adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance.
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation.
Requirements
  • Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs.
  • Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and a current registration.
  • Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends and afternoon shifts.
  • Have your own vehicle and driver's license.
