A Physical Therapist is a healthcare professional responsible for helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses that affect their ability to move and function. This role involves performing comprehensive evaluations of patients, designing individualized treatment programs, and guiding them towards full restoration of function and improvement in mobility.
Responsibilities:- Evaluating patients' physical abilities and creating personalized treatment plans
- Developing and implementing interventions to improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent physical disabilities
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to patients and healthcare teams
A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university is required. Additionally, licensure/registration under New York State requirements must be maintained. While previous experience is not necessary, it is highly suggested.
