Our Ideal Paediatric Audiologist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our audiology team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality audiological assessments and interventions to children aged 0-18 years, as well as maintaining a contemporary understanding of child development, ear health, pathology, screening and diagnostic assessments and interventions for hearing loss.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing behavioural audiological assessments to determine hearing abilities in children aged 0-18 years.
  • Conveying outcomes of an assessment in a sensitive and accurate manner to the individual, family and/or referrer.
  • Maintaining a contemporary understanding of child development, ear health, pathology, screening and diagnostic assessments and interventions for hearing loss.
  • Working efficiently in a fast-paced audiology setting which experiences long waiting times.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships within the department and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full association membership with Audiology Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure the provision of high quality, efficient and effective Paediatric Audiology services.
  • Experience in working with children of all ages in Acute, Community or both clinic settings.
  • Ability to adapt and re-prioritise according to changing clinic and client needs.
  • Ability to sensitively relate to and communicate with colleagues, parents and families, children, and other members of the community from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds.
