This role is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in the Surat Basin, Queensland. As an HSE Advisor, you'll work closely with our Energy Services Team to ensure all works are executed safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with safety management plans, policies, and statutory requirements;
  • Coaching and mentoring personnel to develop safe work cultures;
  • Supporting the Assist and Assure program;
  • Promptly responding to reports of unsafe conditions or activities;
  • Monitoring the application of safety management systems in the field;
  • Developing effective relationships with stakeholders and other organizations;
  • Staying up-to-date with AQTF standards and training packages;
  • Coordinating HSE training courses for project personnel;
  • Assisting with scheduling and organizing training courses;
  • Developing HSE and emergency management plans, policies, and procedures;
  • Ensuring training compliance with policies and safety obligations;
  • Conducting internal and external audits and compiling reports;
  • Managing relevant systems and registers;
  • Leading incident response and investigations.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of health and safety experience or a similar industry background;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills;
  • Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent);
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE 40110;
  • Lead Auditor OHS Management Systems (desired);
  • Workplace First Aid/CPR certification;
  • Current State/Territory Driver's License – Class C;
  • Certification in a recognized Drug and Alcohol testing program;
  • ICAM or Taproot investigation training.

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
