Senior Project Development Engineer

As a senior project engineer, you will be responsible for designing and constructing critical infrastructure across the water and power sectors.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure job constructed meets technical, quality and customer requirements
  • Conduct surveys of installations throughout the project in a professional manner, reviewing and accepting results as correct, with actions coordinated and documented
  • Assist project manager with compliance to documentation required under management system
  • Liaise with construction manager to ensure job is on schedule
  • Provide focal point for technical based queries associated with civil/structural subcontractors and suppliers
Requirements:
  • Civil engineering qualification
  • Significant engineering experience in design, construction and commissioning, ideally on brownfields and greenfields projects
  • Strong communication skills, including negotiation and influencing skills, with ability to establish effective working relationships with people at different levels internally and externally
  • Familiarity with Australian standards, codes and environmental regulations
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance, liaising with managers, and providing support to subcontractors and suppliers. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as a deep understanding of engineering principles and Australian standards.
