Assembly and Erection Lineworker Position

 

We are currently seeking skilled assembly and erection lineworkers to join our team for a significant 500kV transmission project in Australia.

 

This high-voltage project involves the construction of approximately 140km of new transmission lines, as well as the installation of upgraded infrastructure. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient assembly of steel components, meeting precise specifications.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Layout of steel components in suitable locations for assembly
  • Installation of structural members according to established guidelines
  • Inspection and identification of any defects in steel components
  • Conducting routine checks on lifting equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Bolt management and tightening processes to maintain structural integrity
  • Calculation of load masses and assessment of lifting points for secure operations

 

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proven experience working on high-voltage transmission lines
  • A valid Construction White Card
  • Work at Heights certification for safe access
  • An EWP license for aerial operations
  • A Dogging and Rigging license for complex lifts
  • A High Risk Work license for hazardous tasks
  • FIRST Aid and CPR training (desired)
