We are seeking dedicated midwives to join our multidisciplinary team at Northern Beaches Hospital. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and their families.

The Role

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about working across all areas of midwifery, with a focus on delivering evidence-based care for pregnant women and new mothers. This includes planning, assessing, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care in collaboration with women, their families, and the healthcare team.

You will also have the chance to guide and mentor junior and undergraduate midwives in providing high-quality midwifery care. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver an exceptional patient experience for women and their families.

  • Plan, assess, implement, and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with women, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Guide and mentor junior and undergraduate midwives in providing midwifery care.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support patient care needs.
  • Deliver an exceptional patient experience for women and their families.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Current Registration as a Midwife with AHPRA.
  • Bachelor of Midwifery or Graduate Diploma in Midwifery (or equivalent).
  • Highly developed clinical skills across the continuum of maternity care, with a focus on birthing and postnatal care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to a family-focused approach to care.
