About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Analyst to join our team at the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of NSW (IPART). As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective regulation of the energy sector in NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with energy regulations
  • Undertake a range of compliance functions, including complaint assessment, intelligence gathering, audit analysis, enforcement, education, and stakeholder support
  • Plan and conduct investigations into alleged breaches of energy regulations
  • Prepare investigation reports and briefings, and make risk-based recommendations to management on appropriate compliance actions
  • Plan, risk assess, and conduct regulatory site inspections

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in conducting investigations, with knowledge of contemporary investigation techniques, strategies, and legal requirements
  • Experience undertaking a range of compliance-related activities in a complex environment
  • Knowledge or qualifications in a relevant field, such as energy savings schemes and technologies, electrical/plumbing & drainage, or other relevant standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to manage a case load, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure
  • Willingness to travel and work at locations throughout NSW
  • Certificate IV (Government) Investigations or similar qualification
  • Australian driver's license
