Research Associate In Cognitive Robotics And AI Expert

The UNSW Faculty of Engineering is seeking a Research Associate to conduct independent and collaborative research activities in Cognitive Robotics and Knowledge Representation and Reasoning/Neuro-Symbolic Artificial Intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct both independent and collaborative research activities to advance expertise in Cognitive Robotics and Knowledge Representation and Reasoning/Neuro-Symbolic Artificial Intelligence.
- Contribute to the writing of scientific papers and reports for international journals, participate in conferences and workshops, and engage with industry partners.
- Hold a PhD (or soon to be awarded) in knowledge representation and reasoning (artificial intelligence) or neurosymbolic AI or related area.
- Demonstrate a proven commitment to keeping up-to-date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Exhibit the ability to undertake high-quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
Candidates should have a strong background in artificial intelligence and demonstrate their ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders and students.
