About the Role

Zylo is seeking an experienced Company Accountant to join a leading solar energy company on the Gold Coast.

The Company Accountant will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, payroll management, accounts payable and receivable, BAS preparation and lodgement, invoicing and billing, reconciliation, financial analysis, compliance, process improvement and liaison with external stakeholders.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • BAS Preparation & Lodgement: Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) accurately and on time.
  • Invoicing & Billing: Manage the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of customer billing.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities and potential risks.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to existing financial processes and systems.
  • Liaison: Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and other stakeholders.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Company Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Solid experience with payroll processing and related legislation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparing and lodging BAS.
  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
