Job Opportunity

This senior accounting role will contribute to the financial management and reporting of a complex organization. The primary focus will be on providing accurate and timely information, ensuring the maintenance of reporting systems, adherence to financial policies and processes, reconciliation of accounts, and compliance with internal controls.


Main Responsibilities
  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports for review by stakeholders in accordance with the business timetable
  • Payroll Support: Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate recording and perform reconciliations of payroll balances
  • Inter-Company Transactions: Reconcile inter-company accounts and transactions, and account for foreign exchange movements
  • Support Staff Review: Review the work of support staff to ensure entries are correct and submitted on time for monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting
  • Balancesheet Reconciliation: Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in accordance with the month-end timetable
  • Statutory Reporting: Assist with divisional statutory reporting, liaising with external auditors and completing audits on time
  • Divisional Budget: Assist with the divisional budget process, liaising with relevant stakeholders
  • Taxation Returns: Assist with GST and FBT returns, including calculations, reconciliations and lodgement
  • Cashflow Management: Assist with cashflow reporting and forecasting

About You

We seek a highly skilled and experienced senior accountant who can work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.


Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or commerce
  • CPA/CA qualified
  • Commercial experience in a large entity – 5+ years post-qualified
  • Experience as a Senior Accountant or Senior Management Accountant is desirable
