Workforce Compliance Specialist

This role drives policies and processes supporting compliance in a complex workplace relations landscape.

  • To drive success, this position ensures adherence to modern awards, enterprise agreements, legislative requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Responsibilities include monitoring and ensuring compliance with national and state employment laws, modern awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • The specialist will provide authoritative advice on legislation, modern awards, and enterprise agreements to ensure compliance and best practice application.
  • A key function of the role is accurately calculating and advising on casual rates of pay and entitlements for employees.
  • Maintenance of payroll systems and configurations meeting regulatory and organizational standards is also required.
  • Cross-functional collaboration will be necessary to enhance payroll processes and maintain data integrity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Law, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in payroll compliance, governance, or a related field is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of complex modern awards and enterprise agreements is required.
  • Strong proficiency in payroll systems is necessary.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are expected.
  • A strong understanding of national employment laws and industry compliance requirements is vital.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills are necessary to navigate complex compliance challenges.
