Position: Engineering Patrol Inspector

Location: Swindon

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm), Friday (6am - 1pm / 1pm - 7pm)

Note: Initial training period will require day shifts for 2-4 weeks until full competency is achieved.

Compensation: £27, plus shift allowance - Salary is contingent upon experience.

Storm Recruitment is seeking to hire an Engineering Inspector to deliver Production and Quality assurance support, focusing on the verification of components and parts.

The selected candidate will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting production teams in turning and milling operations by conducting thorough secondary inspections of batches post-preparation.
  • Systematic evaluation of all tolerance components utilizing various measuring instruments.
  • Operation of Co-ordinate Measuring Machines for specific features.
  • Conducting routine quality assessments and audit evaluations.
  • Providing support to production with inquiries, standards, and other concerns while collaborating with the Quality Assurance team.

Desirable attributes for candidates include, but are not limited to:

  • Completion of an engineering apprenticeship or relevant experience in Turning, Milling, or Inspection.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and a strong eagerness to acquire new skills.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working independently within a team setting.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, symbols, revisions, and documentation.
