Position: Engineering Patrol Inspector
Location: Swindon
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm), Friday (6am - 1pm / 1pm - 7pm)
Note: Initial training period of 2-4 weeks will require day shifts only.
Compensation: £27, plus shift allowance - Salary based on experience.
Storm Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Inspector to deliver Production and Quality assurance, focusing on the verification of components and parts.
The ideal candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Facilitating production processes in turning and milling by conducting thorough secondary inspections for batches prepared for manufacturing.
- Performing systematic evaluations of all tolerance components utilizing various measuring instruments.
- Operating and managing Co-ordinate Measuring Machines for specific features.
- Conducting routine quality assessments and audit evaluations.
- Providing assistance to production teams with inquiries, standards, and other concerns while collaborating with the Quality Assurance team.
Desirable attributes for candidates include, but are not limited to:
- Completion of an engineering apprenticeship or experience in turning, milling, or mechanical inspection.
- Proficiency in computer use and a strong willingness to acquire new skills.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working independently within a team setting.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, symbols, revisions, and documentation.
