As a result of expanding scope of works within our portfolio, we are currently seeking experienced tanker drivers to work with the operations and maintenance team at the Townsville RAAF base.
About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to operate fuel tanker trucks around the fuel installation and defence base. Your day-to-day directions will come from the Commanding Officer or similar of the particular squadron you will be working with.
- Operate fuel tanker truck around the fuel installation and defence base
- Work closely with operators to safely load your fuel tank truck with required fuel
- Deliver the fuel to designated fuel points, such as refuelling points or aircraft on the runway
- Operate pumps on tanker truck to ensure effective delivery of fuel to aircraft
- Communicate with internal and external teams to ensure good customer experience
You will be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee who can draw on your experience and diverse skills to deliver high-quality outcomes for UGL and our customers.
- HC Drivers Licence (or above) and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence
- Proven experience operating heavy vehicles is essential
- Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry will be highly regarded
- Good communicator and ability to work in a diverse team
- Current holder, or ability to obtain relevant security clearances
