Senior Wellbeing and Safety Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Wellbeing and Safety professional to join our team in a senior role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing within a supportive and caring sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement WHS Strategies
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of training plans to support WHS needs; provide coordination and evaluation of materials and resources
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety auditing, compliance and job safety analysis, comprehensive reporting
  • Promote a culture which supports proactive hazard identification and risk minimisation strategies to reduce work related illness and injuries
  • Manage ongoing psycho-social risks and supporting the rehabilitation of both physical and psychological injuries
  • Drive a safety culture in a supportive and caring sector with experienced professionals trained in Therapeutic crisis intervention, Social Work and/or Psychology (Desirable)
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role providing high level advice and support
  • Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated application of work health and safety legislative standards and guidelines relevant to a large complex organisation
  • Practical knowledge of worker's compensation claims, management and legislative requirements
  • Proven experience in building and sustaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience operating in high-risk environments
