Electronics Recycling Assistant Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Electronics Recycling Assistant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Facility Supervisor with coordinating shifts, guiding team members, and overseeing the sorting, dismantling, and recycling lines.
  • Assist in planning workloads, organizing shifts, and assigning tasks across the E-Waste Warehouse sorting, dismantling, and recycling line teams.
  • Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and weigh materials as needed; record weights and carry out tasks as instructed by supervisors.
  • Mentor team members, monitor productivity, and maintain accurate production records.
  • Inspect sorting cages and component purity to ensure quality standards are met.
  • E nsure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and production manuals.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or higher in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor's preferred).
  • Full Australian work rights.
  • Valid forklift licence, and valid full driver's licence.
Skills & Experience:
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, including maintenance and machinery troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience in team leadership, task coordination, and warehouse operations (especially in e-waste).
  • Skilled in operating forklifts, hand tools, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety practices, particularly with hazardous materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to track production, maintain records, and train/evaluate team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong team focus.
