Job Overview

The Weighbridge Attendant is a vital role in managing and coordinating waste movement on and off site, ensuring all acceptable waste materials entering or leaving the site are accurately recorded and accounted for.

  • Operate the weighbridge to ensure accurate weighing of incoming and outgoing vehicles
  • Direct traffic coming onto site while monitoring all vehicles entering/leaving the site
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their enquiries and ensuring they receive the highest service standard possible
  • Maintain a professional image of the company and always deliver high-quality customer service
  • Ensure the weighbridge and general area of the weighbridge including the office are maintained in a clean, tidy and hazard-free condition
  • Assist with general administrative duties and customer service tasks as required
  • Operate computerized systems and other work-related systems
  • Produce reports from the weighbridge software as needed
  • Complete all records and paperwork accurately, as directed

Qualifications and Experience
  • Current First Aid certificate including CPR
  • Weighbridge and/or waste industry experience (desirable)
  • Moderate computer knowledge and experience with mathematical aptitude
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Ability to complete repetitive, mundane tasks efficiently
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
