**Healthcare Opportunity**

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant in Midwifery to join our team on a Casual basis.

In this role, you will provide support to Registered Midwives in delivering general patient care and undertake basic midwifery duties that would otherwise have been performed by a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse/Midwife.

To be successful in this role, you must be enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in Midwifery (2nd year or above) and have completed any required training for safe and competent performance of work at this level.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment and provide person-centered care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide support to Registered Midwives in delivering general patient care.
  • Undertake basic midwifery duties that would otherwise have been performed by a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse/Midwife.

**Requirements:**

  • Enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in Midwifery (2nd year or above).
  • Completed any required training for safe and competent performance of work at this level.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
