About This Role

We are seeking a visionary Nursing Leader to spearhead our multidisciplinary team in Kowanyama, a remote Indigenous community nestled on the western coast of Cape York.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional leadership and crisis management, ensuring the well-being of patients and staff during emergency responses and complex presentations with limited resources
  • Maintain high standards of clinical services and develop strategies to enhance patient outcomes through data-driven decision making
  • Build strong relationships with Traditional Owners and community leaders to deliver culturally sensitive care that meets the unique needs of our community
  • Foster a positive, inclusive team culture that promotes staff well-being, resilience, and growth opportunities
Requirements
  • A Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and a proven track record of successful leadership and emergency response experience
  • Experience working in remote or rural settings, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with it
  • A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues alike
