Business Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Business Support Specialist to join our team.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our division, supporting leadership and staff with contract management, risk, reporting, policy coordination, governance, and divisional initiatives.

  • Manage the workload of our administrative team.
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused administrative support.
  • Prepare and review internal and external reports.
  • Draft contracts and procurement documents.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Provide governance and meeting support.
  • Develop and maintain administrative systems.
  • Undertake research and analysis.
  • Perform the role of Divisional Risk Coordinator (DRC), facilitating risk workshops and maintaining risk registers.
  • Provide finance, invoicing, and business support for our special events, projects, and public art initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in administration, business coordination, or office management.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial management, procurement, and contract processes.
  • Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and documentation.
  • Experience supporting governance, risk, or compliance activities is desirable.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to streamline processes and improve systems.
