About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Professional to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies regarding Council's Water and Sewer Trade Waste and Backflow Prevention functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage water treatment processes to maintain safe, high-quality water services for our community.
- Oversee staff training and budget management, and report to regulatory bodies as required.
- Conduct WHS audits, capture operational data, manage project delivery, and lead the water treatment team through regular meetings to maintain performance and compliance.
Requirements:
- Degree Qualification in Engineering or Science field, NSW Health Fluoridation Certification for Public Water Supplies and 5 years minimum experience in Water Treatment or related field.
- Proven ability in the development, monitoring and management of financial budgets and reporting.
- Management and development of staff to meet competency levels for compliance with best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Well-developed analytical skills with high level written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications with extensive experience in the use of SCADA and Telemetry Systems, and operating devices effectively.
- Ability to network clearly and effectively with key stakeholders in offering specialised technical advice and support to deliver treatment services.
- Demonstrated ability in leading teams, providing effective communication, driving performance and fostering a positive working culture.
- Hold a C Class Drivers Licence and WHS Induction Card.
