About This Job

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lifestyle and Community Coordinator to join our team at Bupa Mosman in Sydney's Lower North Shore.


The Role

  • Manage all recreational activities and programs for our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with our care staff to deliver high-quality care and support to our residents.
  • Plan and organize recreational activities and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our residents, their families, and the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Person-First Leisure and Lifestyle Programs in our care home.
  • Manage a team of recreational activity officers to promote emotional and physical rehabilitation.
  • Provide quality care and support to residents, including maintaining their skill levels, independence, and mobility.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to plan and organize recreational activities and events.
  • Ensure individual resident needs, values, spiritual, and cultural preferences are taken into account when providing care.
  • Complete documented assessments to determine resident capabilities, needs, and problems.

Requirements

  • Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle is desirable, degree level qualifications highly regarded.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role caring for the elderly within an aged care setting.
  • Highly developed organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.
