Civil Engineer

About the Role

Mosman Council is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join their Infrastructure Assets Capital and Maintenance works program. As a key member of the Engineering Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of civil works projects, including planning, designing, and executing infrastructure capital and maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, plan, design, and manage various capital and maintenance projects from start to finish
• Undertake condition and safety audits of infrastructure assets to identify priority maintenance works
• Manage works in relation to stormwater, roads, and footpaths
• Assess engineering referrals for Development Applications

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
• Minimum of two years' relevant experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated ability in liaising with consultants to scope, plan, and design maintenance and capital works projects
• Sound knowledge and understanding of processes involved in preparing tender documentation, tender assessment, and contract administration
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high level of organisation, attention to detail, problem-solving, and time-management skills
• Current Class C driver's license and General Construction Induction card
