Residential Aged Care Funding Specialist

As a Clinical Funding Officer, you will make a significant impact on the lives of residents in our care homes by providing site-specific funding support. We have an exciting opportunity for two Clinical Funding Officers to work across our Residential Aged Care Homes in Broken Hill.
About the RoleIn this position, you will be responsible for providing clinical funding expertise to the homes, working closely with the SCCQ Clinical Funding team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with carers and clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation of resident care needs and time spent, supporting funding classifications and appropriate staffing based on residents' needs.
- Supporting staff with resources and knowledge of systems, raising concerns with the Clinical Manager as needed.
- Providing ongoing education and training sessions to upskill staff in funding processes.
Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring resident conditions, clinical meetings, and feedback sessions to identify reclassification opportunities.
- Tracking residents' data, including movements, Medicare events, and AN-ACC lodgments.
- Being involved in the admission process, including pre-screening, funding predictions, assessments, and communication with the clinical team.
- Reviewing assessments and care plans to ensure they reflect residents' needs for AN-ACC classification.
- Delivering high-quality documentation, reporting, and tracking, including occupancy and departures.
- Completing forms and data required for classification support and KPI reporting.
We are looking for someone with experience in a care or clinical role within Residential Aged Care, knowledge of AN-ACC tools, funding guides, and processes. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to quickly learn software systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office, working independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, customer service skills, and excellent communication skills.
