Job Role

Mentor officers play a pivotal role in guiding apprentices and trainees towards successful completion of their programs. They are responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to help individuals achieve their goals.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Meet with allocated apprentices and trainees to understand their barriers or issues.
  • Identify and assess risk factors to determine the level of support required.
  • Create comprehensive training plans for each individual and update them accordingly.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including employers and parents, to gather input on the training plans.
  • Host meetings or mediations with employers and apprentices to resolve differences and achieve positive outcomes.
  • BUILD relationships and engage with various stakeholders, such as schools, GTOs, RTOs, and job search providers.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of in-training information and file notes.
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with the position, including reporting and mentoring activities.
