Job Overview

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping our future through insightful forecasting and strategic planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the general merchandise categories, including books, gifts, stationery, and souvenirs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To manage stock within agreed open to buy limits while delivering cost, quality, and availability of stock targets.
  • To establish monthly budgets and replans in consultation with the Buying team for sales, stock, stock turns, margins, purchases, and gross profit.
  • To drive assortment optimisation through effective space and range management.
  • To provide financial analysis, support, and advice on ranging, budgeting, and forecasting activities to ensure financial targets are met.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a merchandise planner role with general merchandise experience being ideal.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
