Procurement Specialist for Space Exploration Initiative

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Space Exploration Initiative by developing and executing strategies that promote supplier engagement, cost optimization, and quality assurance.

  • Identify opportunities to analyze supplier spend, capacity, and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
  • Manage production processes and design change implementations to minimize disruptions and maximize efficiency.
  • Address problems related to late-breaking changes or shortages, ensuring that production reality is supported by a credible inventory demand-supply plan.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Purchasing, Contract Negotiation, Material Planning, Operations, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of leadership, team building, and vendor management skills.
  • Technical procurement, manufacturing, and vendor management experience, along with expertise in contract negotiation and production purchasing.

Additional Requirements:

  • Able to travel up to 35% of the work week, including international travel.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet major milestones.
  • Familiarity with current technologies and applications, such as MS Office Suite, SQL, and Access.
