
Space Exploration Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Launch Engineer to join our team.
- As a key member of our launch team, you will be responsible for the development of mechanical systems, including structural and dynamic analysis, thermal and fluids engineering, and manufacturing and assembly.
- You will work closely with our software and operation engineers to develop robust, fault-tolerant systems that perform every time in extreme conditions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and analysis, with experience in CAD and FEA software packages. A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required, with a master's degree or higher preferred.
Additional qualifications include 1+ years of experience in hands-on project experience with complex mechanical systems, preferably as a lead. Self-motivated individuals with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manufacture mechanisms, actuation systems, fluid systems, and large structures.
- Perform structural, dynamic, thermal, and fluids analysis to determine requirements and optimize system designs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
- 1+ years of experience with mechanical or fluid systems design, analysis, and hands-on assembly.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis.
- 2+ years of hands-on project experience with complex mechanical systems, preferably as a lead.
